AUSTRALIAN fans are in for a treat over the first two days of the US Open next week with Adam Scott and Jason Day paired together for the first 36 holes. The USGA released the tee times for the first two rounds of next week’s championship at Oakmont overnight and Day and Scott will partner 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen for the first two days.

Scott and Day will tee off the first at 2.20pm Thursday Pennsylvania time (4.20am Friday Australian Eastern Time) meaning Australian viewers will get to see plenty of the pair.
Sydney’s Aron Price is a chance to hit the first shot of the tournament as he tees off in the first group off the first hole Thursday with American Denny McCarthy and Mikael Lundberg of Sweden. Marc Leishman is also among the early starters, the Victorian off the 10th tee at 8.02am local time (10.02pm Thursday Australian Eastern time) with Jimmy Walker and England’s Paul Casey.
Day and Scott aren’t the only two Queenslanders who will see a lot of each other over the first two rounds with Cameron Smith and Steven Bowditch also paired together Thursday and Friday.
They will hit of the 10th tee at 1.14pm local time Thursday (3.14am Friday Australian Eastern time) with American Derek Bard. The last Australian in the field, 2006 champion Geoff Ogilvy, will play with two other former winners in Webb Simpson and Graeme McCDowell. The trio will hit off the first tee at 1.47pm local time (3.47am Friday Australian Eastern time) in Ogilvy’s 10th and final automatic exemption courtesy of his victory at Winged Foot.
